CESS Felicitate the Chandrayaan Tean

CESS and the Kerala State Council for Science Technology and Environment jointly felicitate the Team today at 11 30 

This is also the occation which we all pay tributes to our founder director C Karunaakaran. There will be a lecture by Dr. G Madhavan Nair after the felicitation function. 

The function will be presided by Shri. M Vijayakumar, hon. minister for law, parlimentary affairs & sports. Our hon. Chief minister V S Achuthaanandan honours the Chandrayaan team. Oter ministers like Shri C Divakaran and Shri. M A Baby will deliver felicitations. Look here for more details......

Team MSD returns from Sabarimala

Akulam, 4-Dec-2008:-

The Members of Team MSD returned from sabarimala today afternoon, after a fantastic, heart felt devotional pilgrimage.The team consisting of Shamji,Arjun,Sarath,Sreekanth,Praveen and ASD member Prashanth started off to sabarimala on 3rd December after the famous ""Kettunirackal"" (Ghee filling) at Kudavoor Shri Bhagavathy Temple Kazhakuttom. After visiting Kottarakara ganapathy temple they reached Pamba by around 2.30 pm.

After dipping for a holy bath at pamba to purify themselves, they started the climbing towards atop of the hill by 4.15pm.
Meanwhile Prashanth and Praveen had a tough time since after climbing a few metres they had to return back to the vehicle parking area since the ""kanniswamy"" sreekanth forgot to take the receipts of appam and aravan took from Dhanalakshmi bank Intermediate.

While climbing, team was headed by arjun swami chanting ''saranamantras'' and ''hymns'' aloud which was received well with great team spirit,devotion and applause. During the journey praveen had a muscle crack on his left leg below knee.
The entire team reached sannidhanam and enormously offered prayers to the deity. After the normals rituals the team took shelter atop of Devasom Guest House an open air A/C auditorium (terrace ....with full of mist.) arranged by the team member sarath.

After "Neyyabhisekham" in the morning the team started in the morning itself and reached back at pamba by 9am today.
Almost every member was happy with this pilgrimage.

The food and refreshment committee ( A permanent committee of team msd) was headed by Syamji and Arjun. The accommodation committee was leaded by sarath when prashanth headed the photographic section. The finance commitee went on so smoothly with Sreekanth alias kanniswamy. The initial arrangements for the pilgrimage was done by Praveen on behalf of Team MSD.

There was a rumour here that When Dhan was back from Hydrabad after her friend's marrige her mom n' dad decided to get their daughter settled with some one... so We think todays mail from Dhan to the Team is a result of that decision.

training was fine with 41 candidates altogether frm Kerala, Tamilnadu & Andhra Pradesh .. At first i had to fight with "debit& credit"..now its somewht kkk...
Apart frm d banking classes we had sessions on personality development tooo.
Two skill assessment tests were also deree. den group photo was taken...
cultural session was also dere... it was really a wonderful experience..speaking different languages...."
Reports are flushing in about Reshmi. She joined The Statue branch of Syndicate bank as an Asst. Manager on 17th (this Monday) and she spoke to the reporters that she is enjoying her new profession...

Another pilgrim season

The team msd is fuelling up for another pilgrim season...with syamji swamy leading from the front to see their favourite deity. It has been reported that the pilgrims wil lstart for Sabarimala on the dawn of Dec 2 with a small crew consisting of Arjun,Sreekanth and Praveen.

The entire team has started practising the prior rituals(the threshold conditions to be maintained for visiting "Lord Ayyappa"), especially arjun (as a typical northern kerala pilgrim) to cherish their dream to have a darshan of the shrine and sanctum sanctorium. The days of saranamantras are back....................

Crackers brought the happiest news....

The dazzle and the cracking sound of Diwali brought the happiest news to team MSD after the first post in this blog. If i put it in words i would be struggling for it... 'coz i am not able to translate completely the feelings going through the minds of MoES 1 guys currently . Not only MoES but all those who are attached to the team. This at the same time being one of the happiest moment and one of the saddest... (There were a lot of heart melting scenes down there in the project hall... I will defenitely say you missed it. Even I ;)). Reshmi, always vibrant with positive energy brings a smile on everybodies face is leaving CESS. She received the offer letter from Syndicate Bank as a PO.

Great news for the team...

Give her a big hand.... A full round of heart felt applause wrapped with all the best wishes for her from the team mates...

Today she came with loads of Laddus and that was not enough for her celebration. As Kurian sir said, "This (laddu) is just a biginning... the real party is on its way...

RC is over

Special corrospondent

Akkulam, Oct.20: Much awaited Research committee (RC)  is over by today 13:00 hrs. Sources close to different Dept. heads said to Team MSD's special corrospondant that this time team MSD made a cleen sweep in the RC. There where 3 new PhD candidates from the entire CESS for this RC and keeping Team MSD's pride up all of the three freshers were from Team MSD. Tiju I Varghese, Praveen S S and Arjun S.  On behalf of all the team members, team MSD welcomes them onboard.

Amoung this Tiju will be working on Astamudi Kayal for past signature using core samples. Praveen is deep into his Tsunami modelling for Kerala coast while Arjun will be concentrating on Tide modelling for Arabian Sea. 

More updates on RC will be reporting for Team MSD by Praveen Sakalya.

Team MSD celebrated.....

So guyz..... it was a festiv season.... with a lot of off days.... Vijayadashami offered us a two days off and the second saturday and the sunday :) ...  :) 

so the office was almost vaccant on the last Friday......

The Elite Executive (!!??)  member of team MSD - 

S S Praveen "NAIR" (mmmmmm....) celebrated the holidays with Mohanlal.... (U Confused????) 

Yup really he celebrated it with the new Mohanlals movie Kurukshetra.... Pretty okey movie it seems....

One of the major celebrations of CUSAT... the Sarotsav (Its the hostel fest of Sarovar Hostel  of CUSAT...) was during this time, on 6th to be precize. Team MSD joined the function by sending a special correspondant to CUSAT. 

Tad Appuppans favorite miss KaaLa Rani is gonna take a long leave it seems.... God knows for what. this news is from our news desk...

After Ramzan

Then finally the much awaited Ramzan is over. Heard that our Shanu have tried his level best to keep up fasting for 30 days. you know one thing all of the team members believed this story, especially myself. Dont you think that Shanu will do that.
Hope each and every body of the team have celebrated Ramzan to your level best.
Then one thing Sheela mam is back from chennai after looooooooong time. More events are coming up in the following days which includes the increase of the membership of the team MSD....

So the news from the Team MSD's news desk.... after a 1 week vacation at Hyderabad Dhan is back to office today with not even a 50 ps muttayi.  but still we welcome u bak dear....

Another field season have started here with Abhilash (Aadi) with beach profiling and Praveen and Kala with GPS asset marking.

Great time with not much happening to others here.

So this is a blogging season for Team MSD. We actually use to celebrate almost everything that is possible. Even though a bit late to blogs we were always up to date. But considering the fact that we are not even 1 year old as a team we can always say that this is not too late as well. It was Shamji's idea to bring a team out of our boring field works and researches. Well..., didnt have not much of huge plans. But to be always together... atleast couple of mails.... Thats all.  A space was created in the virtual world ie; we registered in google groups. Now since as I said, it is blogging time for Team MSD, we thought of coming out with a blog.
